This week Zentangle came out with a new tangle on their website, it’s name is Ixorus and you can see it at http://archive.constantcontact.com/fs023/1101168872594/archive/1104275414191.html
Our Diva challenged us to use this new tangle in our weekly challenge and has had tremendous response. The tangle seems to lend itself to blending into other tangles. It was a joy to work with this tangle and to play with adding others to it. I hope you like the results.
Nice, Joni! I also like how this tangle plays so well with the ones around it. I like how you rounded the edges of the auras.
ReplyDeleteYes, the rounded aura ends, very nice! I also like the continuation of the bubbles in the lower left.
ReplyDeleteLike the way IXORUS protectively surrounds the other tangles.
ReplyDeleteWhispering ~ gracefully floating ~ jellyfish ~ a beautiful blend of tangles
ReplyDeleteI love this tangle! I think Lois is right, it looks like jellyfish.

ReplyDeleteI seriously need a "like" button for all of your comments... :)

ReplyDeleteI see a beautiful jellyfish gliding through the water…
ReplyDeleteI also love the rounded aura ends and how they are hugging all the other tangles! Very nice!
ReplyDeleteVery very pretty! I am seeing a jellyfish too!
ReplyDeleteI like the way Ixorus is hugging the other patterns. Super tangle.
ReplyDeleteI love teh way you carried Ixorus over into further tangling... great idea!
ReplyDeletea ditto on everyone's comments...they all said what I wanted :)
ReplyDelete♥ this tile, Joni! I'm going to try out some of that Ixorus tangle blending trick myself - great inspiration. Thank you! [P.S. I've just written up a comment on my posting for this week that includes a bunch of State side links for you, for those photo mugs!]
ReplyDeleteExcellent extensions with swirly ends.
ReplyDeleteI love how the lines of Ixorus lead the eye through wavy Nipa and down through Hibred between the tentacles. It gives the Ixorus jellyfish a sense of lazy motion. :)
