This was WAY outside my comfort Zone.... drawing with my left hand, as I am a right handed person. I drew every aspect of this with my left hand, string - tangles - shading. I almost messed up when I caught myself trying to slip the pen back into my right hand. The "Zen" was not in this one - it did take every ounce of my concentration and I did learn that turning your tile to favor your natural inclination was most helpful. Curved lines were so difficult!!! This is the best Left Hand Tile I'll ever make as it is my first and last! LOL. The Diva really put us though our paces on this Challenge.
This turned out really fantastic. I didn't get to turn mine because there was no way I was using an actual Zentangle® tile for mine. :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I love the detail and I can tell you that that is not easy!
ReplyDeleteYou did a fine job on it! And the shading is a great addition.
ReplyDeleteHow delightful Joni! I found this challenge took much more concentration too!
ReplyDeleteWell done! I really like the Inapod with the kind of wobbly 'peas'. I'm finding the curved lines quite difficult too. Ya done good!

Pretty darn amazing - what a complex bunch of tangles you chose to do with your non-dominant hand...you have a lot of courage!
ReplyDeleteYou made a wonderful tile. the black make the tangles pop.the flowers look so natural.
ReplyDeleteLove your choice of tangles Joni! That's a classy Betweed!
ReplyDeleteAdmire you for adding all the black - must have taken forever with your opposite hand!!! Sure do agree about this being a first and last attempt, although, now that we've done one, maybe another, just to see what happens....?
ReplyDeleteThanks as always for your comments on my blog ! ;-0
loverly, Joni!
ReplyDeleteYou have met the challenge! The black background is not easy with non-dominant hand! Very nice.
ReplyDeleteThat is great, You met the challenge! I am inspired. Off to Tangle.
ReplyDeleteWow, my left hand doesn't work nearly as well as yours.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous, Joni! It's fascinating that so many of us noticed a lot more tile turning, isn't it? I suspect we should all be turning our tiles more often, even for our dominant hands. Paying more attention to the 'natural inclinations' of our 'right' hands too. I love that 'turn' [pun intended] of phrase. {smiles}
ReplyDeleteWOW this tangle is fabulous, no sign of the problems you describe. Know what you mean about going with your natural inclination. XOXO Zoe
ReplyDeleteWOW, you did really good with your left hand! You were brave and picked some difficult tangles too, way to go!
ReplyDeleteLovely! And I´d like to claim that your left hand is able to draw much better than you know ;-) . You did it for the first time? Why not trying it from time to time? Just a few strokes to get used to it and to unloosen the grip…
