Challenge 7- Relax-Breathe-smile

The Diva's Weekly Challenge this week is to get back to the basics of Zentangle and to Relax, Breathe and smile as we create our entry. Thinking that mandalas are relaxing and beautiful I thought it would be fun to try one. I made the shape of the mandala on the computer, but added all the tangles by hand. (I hope that's not cheating). I'm able to print out the same form and try other tangles on it for a whole new mandala, whenever I choose to do so.
I would like to add color to this one, and will post again when I do. This was fun and relaxing as I not only used repetitive patterns, but had to repeat them (6) times as I turned my tile to make each section as close to identical as I could.
I hope you like the result.

  2. Lovely! I like the tiny "hairy" ends. Good combination of strong darks and delicate lines.

  3. This looks like a pinwheel and that was one thing I immediately felt would express breath. Wonderful!

  4. Nope... I'm not even sure it's possible to cheat when you're having fun tangling - since it's all about the journey (not the transport [grin]). Love the pinwheel. Just wonderful!!
