Zendala Dare No. 7

Having fun with the zendala dare this week.  The first picture is how it really looks, but I thought I would play with my photo editing software and try some special effects...

This is with a Vignette added ... cool, but what if(hmmm)
I made a negative of it?

I'm having way too much fun.  Oh yeah ... there's no such thing.  Thanks Erin for a great challenge once again.

  1. They're all lovely. I think I like the negative the best. I'm going to try this myself. Looks like fun.

  3. I was thinking, "Wow, she's really having fun with this" before I even got to the part where you say that. LOL Nice work!!! I really like the added color.

  4. Joni, I tend to be a purist and like the original work to speak for itself. Unfortunately I have learned that it is harder to photograph that "purity" than one might think, so a little tweaking is sometimes necessary, but now you have thrown all my misconceptions out the window. I love that you altered these images! I think I like the negative the best (besides the original, of course). These pictures really inspire me to think how I might draw my images to achieve some of the photographic effects. Thanks for much for sharing!

  5. Very cool how photoshop and negatives can change it - I'm a techno dinosaur so it's neat for me to see what can be done.

  6. Hey. Cool stuff. I also play around with my stuff in Photoshop. Have you also tried "Kaleidoscope Kreator"? You can get some amazing images from your zentangles with this software.

  9. The original is beautiful and so are the photoshopped ones. Fun to play around with the effects, isn't it?

  11. I see you are having fun. Photoshopping give each one such a different look. I should try this too.

  12. This is so cool -- I'm in love with this one! Especially once you turned it negative!! I'd never thought of scanning my tangles and playing with them in Photoshop, but that does open up some new possibilities... :)
